The Revenge of the Red Hot Mamas hits the road for the last

time. Tonight we are doing the play in "Little Fort." Somehow,

Vegas still seems far away. We'll be playing to a smaller crowd

of about 50, but they will have had liquor so we're probably ok.

Play #2, not quite as cohesive, so far, inspite of many "rehearsals"

we have only had 1 practise where all actors show up. I've already had one accident trying to exit the boat with dignity,

Oh well, another few weeks it will be all behind me.

Big Red and I are hoping to go on a vacation that last more than 2 nights. Our last attempt

was going to Barkerville, 2 days after the season ended. Yawn.........it was dead, we found

ourselves talking in whispers. Our hotel, in Wells, was....clean, we paid extra to have our

own bathroom. There were no radios or TV's. The town was pretty well closed down and

by 5 pm. It was a ghost town. The had a bar, but it had been closed down. There was one

restaurant in town. In our hotel, course it didn't open til 5 pm.

But we're trying to brake the mold. We bought a Garmond Road Tracker. (I feel I must

interject here. 2 years ago, after listening to Big Red go on and on ad nauseum about the

Garmond, I felt, finally, I have a Christmas present he'll like. He had talked about it to

our friends and was always scoping them out on the internet...so how could I go wrong???

Well, when he took off the wrapping, he said, I don't want one of these.. Grrrr. smack,

so now 2 years later, he came up with the idea of buying a.... guess, guess, yes a Garmond.
