the WOW factor

We have found that Barkerville in September does not meet the "WOW" standard.
The only things that were really open were the Refuse Dumps, funny, how one gets
to look like the others after your first few. Won't bother buying a Season Pass to
the Dumpsters next year!
Wells, scary little town. Some incredibly bright (purple, yellow, magenta) house, the
rest looked like they've been there since dawn of time. Our hotel, bright, clean and
cheery, but QUIET, no TV, no radio, did have electricity. Great meal and met some
really nice people from Scotland. However, had to vacate cafe by 8 pm as town was
ready for sleep. They would roll up the sidewalks if they had any.
