Water Heater Woes

So Like the Freaking Water Heater needs Changeing. So the Plumber's due at 4:30PM. At 3:30PM The wife and i decide to drain the water heater. So Like there is this Drain at the Bottom of said waterheater, which one just puts a garden hose on and the tank drains in a matter of minutes......NOT!!! The end of the hose has a few drips coming out, that in the needed hour will be a cup full. I find a Bleeder screw at the top and upon removal the drops double.......What to do??? Took off the garden hose and opened drain at bottom.....Freaking water running around the room......Hmmmm. The wife finds a low slung bowl and a large bucket and we begin the chore of draining Litre by litre. Undo drain partially fill Little bowl, turn off drain, pour into bucket.
Okay We can do this......when water heater is only half empty the drain slows considerably.
Again What to do.....I know, I'll stick my mouth over bleeder screw and Blow....It works dammit.
So there's the Heavy Bad Wolf Huffin and Puffin to Blow the Tank dry, while Ms. Blondish Riding Hood continues the endless little bowl thingy. We emptied it with 10 minutes to spare. Plumber made nice little right angles with copper pipe an hour later New Water Heater Installed. End of Story? Not!! At 8pm ms. riding hood damn near scalds her hands. Ho Hum, Diddlie I Dum, I'm taking of the front panels turning down the temp. Some idiot who put the front Coil Panel cover's on, Cross threaded the screws, I am on the floor Hunched up in my best Vancouver Downtown East Side, Street sleeping position, trying to get that 5cent screw back in. *&^%$(# Take that!! Done!!! It is Now 9:15PM and I am wondering if there is enough hot water for 2 showers, Probably not. She is still sitting there watching CSI, I am going to sneak down and have a shower then, pretend to not notice when whe screams half way thru Her's. What a Life.
