Terry Fox Run

Lynda and I did the Terry Fox run today. I have been walking and running for a few weeks, so as the 100 or so people started, I wanted to push myself. Lynda and her friend Audrey, walked normally and i took off like a bat out of hell, it took 2kms to catch up with the front runners, at 2 1/2k I was in front from that point on there was no one a Km or more behind me. As I returned to the finish Line Drumming and cheers greeted me........Then I find that the local lady rcmp officer got there long before me??????? I was with all the leader's and no one passed me how the heck did she get there and look not winded at all........I would have challenged her for taking a shortcut.......but with the change in ticketing laws today.....what the hell is a free tshirt for first place...versus a peed off cop. So a big back pat to me....as well I ran 2k's to get to the start gate and ran the 2k's back to the house after....then an hour later walked another k to the coffee shop.....In case anyone is reading this... I NEED A BLEADY AMBULANCE!!! I CAN'T WALK....WHOSE INSANE IDEA WAS THIS?????
