vacation

We did it! Big Red and I got a vacation in that lasted longer than 2 days. You see for the
past several years that has been the limit of time we could handle together.

This year we were back and forth, I wanted Mexico or Europe, Big Red would have been
happy at Disneyland--our budget said, Vancouver, maybe Whistler.

Vancouver, stayed at beautiful hotel just 2 block walk to English Bay.
To say that English Bay area is a far cry from our sleepy little town is putting it mildly.
Country folk just aren't used to Roller Bladers flashing in front and behind them. Boys and
boys holding hands on the street. and the restaurants, every Country you can imagine has
restaurants there. Did we try one, no, come on, Big Red not quite ready for that yet.
Then there was the naked man in the room directly across from us. Next time we pack
binoculars!

Although we did have dinner on the outside patio and had an alcoholic beverage. Points
for us.

Whistler, wow, even in daylight you have to be careful when driving the sea to sky highway.
Twisty, turny and lots of spots not paved or repaved. Still, beautiful drive. Loved our
hotel, a suite no less, staff very friendly. LOVE WHISTLER, the energy, the shops, the
food.
We ate and walked and ate and walked, drank a little then ate and walked some more.
Next time we are going to book the Zip Line. Would have this time, but it was 3 hours,
and we just couldn't fit it in.
So there u have it, we managed 4 days!
Who knows how long we could stay away next time
